See - no "P." The Iowa DOT wants it kept this way, so they've given this rest area no restrooms.
Not a lot of anything here for you - just a place to grab a cache, and perhaps a nap. Iowa is known for its extensive network of interstate rest areas, including these "undeveloped" spots. Truckers use them for sleeping breaks. But there are no restrooms, no water, no shelters or picnic tables, no information, pretty much nothing. Oh, there are places to throw your trash (so don't use the ground). This one, however, has something special - a smiley for all who stop! Its qualities match those of the location.
Terrain elevated somewhat for the ditch climbing you'll have to do.
