This cache is located a short distance from the cave enterance under a bush.
Take forest service road 18 (China Hat road) from Bend. Near the cache site there is a short road off China Hat leading to the Boyd cave parking area. For the claustrophobics out there the cache is not in the cave, so feel safe.
Boyd cave is the only local cave that is accessible year round. No pesky over protected bats here to worry about. Before being officially named in the 1970's this cave was once known as Coyote Butte Cave. Bring a flashlight/lantern and enjoy the 1880 ft adventure down below. The USFS has barred most other caves around here so feel lucky that you can still call yourself a spelunker.
