The Great Sonoma County Geo Rally
April 5, 2008

Welcome to the 2008 Sonoma County GeoRally - the follow-up event to last year's wildly successful Cachevenger Hunt. We had over 100 attendees last year, and expect even more this time! Here's how it works:
  • The first part of the event takes place at 10 am at the park and ride lot west of Hwy 101 in Cotati (the listed coordinates).
  • There you'll get instructions for the day's Caching Rally (see http://www.donaldlaird.com/georally.html for rally specifics.3/21/08 Update: Visit the rally specifics page for the registration info and a link to a vital file you'll need for the rally!
  • There will be a number of new caches appearing right before the event day - keep an eye out for them too! Update! Over a dozen new caches placed and ready to find on event day!
  • At 4:00 pm we'll meet up again at the Cotati Community Center (final coordinates given below) for a bunch of caching-related fun:
    • Pasta dinner catered by local legend the Pasta King. Dinner includes penne pasta with marinara or pesto sauce, salad, and garlic bread, all for only $9 per person, payable at the door. If you don't want to have dinner, no problem - but once you smell the tasty pasta, you'll want to!
    • Rally results.
    • The inaugural 'Sonoma County Winter Geo-Olympics - geocaching games for all ages.
    • The famous Moozer raffle!

Sound like fun? You don't want to miss it!

In order to arrange the catering and rally materials, this event will require pre-registration. If you post a 'will attend' log, I'll contact you when the registration info is available. Add this cache to your watchlist to keep up with updates as more details become available.
