Title Wave Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wizard of Ooze: As the cache owner has not indicated that they have visited the cache location to replace it if missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities.

If the cache owner would like to replace a cache at this location, please submit a new geocache listing and it will be reviewed under the current geocaching.com guidelines. Please don’t post a note on your archived listing as it won’t be forwarded to me and I won’t see it. If you need to contact me, please do so by emailing me through the contact link on my geocaching.com profile page or through my website www.wizardofooze.com

Thank you for your contributions to geocaching, and we hope to see you actively geocaching once again in the near future.

Geocache Description:

Easy cache-and-dash...except that you'll want to stay awhile and stroll along this beautiful beach. Or bring your sandcastle building gear!

The above coordinates were the original location for this cache. We had to move the cahce as a result of it being muggled. The new coordinates are;

N50 42.511, W127 25.539

Cache is a 1kg coffee can, wrapped in a green bag. Contains toys and games.

My daughter suggested the cache name: a play-on-words...a Tidal Wave at Storey's Beach = a "Title Wave". Get it?!

Humpback whales have become occasional summer visitors to this bay in recent years. Listen for the tell-tale "whoosh" from their blow-hole when they surface.

For the adventurous types, there is a hiking trail called the Tex Lyon Trail that starts at the bluff at the North end of the beach. I haven't done it myself - I've heard it is quite rugged and takes about 4 hours to reach the end, then you have to return along the same trail.

GPS coordinates taken from the about 10ft from the cache site in order to get better readings than we could under the trees.
