Geocache Description:

Ahoy me hearties! It be Capt'n Simply 'ere. This little cache was set to celebrate Britain's most southerly cache event: GC22370 - In The Unlikely Event... (Les Minquiers) which took place on the 20th of June 2010, attended by eight brave cachers...

The Les Minquiers islands, known as The Minkies to the locals, are the top of huge bank of rocks and sand and are the only points to remain above water at high tide. As such, they're the most southerly point in the British Isles and boast Britain's most Southerly Building; a toilet. There are a few fishermen's houses, enclosed by a low wall, a flag-pole, a Helicopter landing pad and... no, that's about it. Unless of course you're interested in sea birds and sealife, which teams in the shallow seas around the main island of Maitresse Ile, the smaller island of Les Maisons and the smaller isles of Le Niêsant, Les Faucheurs and La Haute Grune.

The cache is a micro Small, but despite this I was able to squeeze a small stamp in. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THIS STAMP; IT IS NOT A SWAP ITEM! It's what makes this cache a letterbox-hybrid. Please use it to stamp your own memento of the trip and sign the log as per usual - or stamp it with your own personal stamp if you have one.

Huge thanks to The Pico Sailors who've agreed to look after this cache for me, and also to Émigré Anglais and Jersey_Girl for replacing this cache in 2013. Long may the new treasure survive!

More info plus pictures to follow; in the meantime, you've all the info you need to find this cache.
