College Farm Traditional Cache

A short walk from the Cambridgeshire village of Great Paxton. The route is a mix of concrete road and footpath across a field. It could get muddy in wet weather and is hard work with a stroller - hence the terrain rating.

The plateau to the NE of College Farm is earmarked for a wind farm development subject to much local opposition. More information can be found at Cotton Farm Action Group (Cotton Farm is roughly 2 miles NE of College Farm). I make no comment about the pros and cons of this scheme, but it is clear that if it goes ahead it will have a dramatic impact on this locality.

Please do not drive to the farm to park: ample street parking is available just under a mile away. You are looking for a cylindrical screw-top container of approximately 1 litre capacity. It contains log book, pencil and the usual goodies, with ample room for geocoins and smaller TBs and swaps. Very close to water, so take care with children. Wellies advised if not essential.
