Devil's Throne Viewpoint Traditional Cache

On the trail map of Toro Park, Devil's Throne (elevation 669 ft.) stands out as the lone promontory along the west side. Although many nearby hills certainly meet or exceed it in height, none can compare with its stately appearance of rock cliffs and lush greenery. It even possesses a peak-dwelling guardian--an aye-aye, a rat from Spy vs. Spy, or perhaps a southwestern-stylized coyote. To my knowledge, there are no trails accessing the slopes of Devil's Throne, so we must content ourselves with simply gazing at it from afar. This cache is located very near one such viewing spot. The cache container is a clear, plastic Lock & Lock box filled with trade items, a log book, and a pen. Paying the parking fee and driving into Toro Park will reduce your round trip by just over a mile. Otherwise, park just outside the gates for free. UPDATE: private bones, trailblazer extraordinaire, has discovered a route to the peak of Devil's Throne! Please see her caches, The Devil Made Me Do It! (GC190AZ) and A Devilish Bonus (GC190BY) to take part in the fun.
