Geocache Description:

Small Lock N Lock hidden in the park.

Charles J Stump was Police Chief of Shawnee in the 60's and was named citizen of the year in 1983. This park was named after him. It is a 60 acre park and the parking lot and main entrance is at 47th and Woodland.

Please park in the parking lot before going for the cache. It is too dangerous to park on the street.

The park has a playground for the kids and both baseball and soccer fields. There is a shelter house for picnics and restrooms. There is a .6mi walking trail. Use this trail to walk to a close point to approach the cache. There is a ditch to cross so wear old shoes. Better to do this one on a dry day.

The cache starts out with a TUIT geocaoin that someone gave me at the Geocaching 101 event in January. It also contains an unactivated Missouri Hawthorn geocoin for some lucky finder. There is a Wheresgeorge dollar in there too. This is a small cache container so it will only take small items. Bring your own pen or pencil too.

Please practice proper rehidation so it is not accidentally discovered and muggled.
