Geocache Description:

The idea for this cache came from a cache (GC14CG0 by m_and_w) that I enjoyed in my hometown of Langhorne, PA.

	Hi. My name is William. I live in Lititz with my best friend Andrew. He is in the third grade. He had to do a project about Lititz. I got to help. We had so much fun doing the project, we thought you would like to take our tour also. The tour will be a little more than half a mile each way.
This is me sitting in front of the Welcome to Lititz sign along route 501 north of town. This is where our tour begins. This sign is at the posted coordinates. You can just drive by this sign to get the required information. It would be easiest if you drive by while heading south on Route 501. There is a number embedded into the wall just to YOUR left (closer to the road) of where I am sitting. The number is xDxx. Please proceed to N40 09.376 W76 18.106 and find a place to park. This is where the walking portion of our tour begins.
	Here I am at the Julius Sturgis Pretzel House. On this site, Julius Sturgis established the first pretzel bakery in the "new world". In what year did he do so. You will find the required information on the plaque behind me. The year was JxxS. E = S - J
Please start walking to the west. Soon you will reach the Linden Hall School for girls. This is the oldest girls resident school in the United States. It was founded in xxAx by the Moravian Church.
	Please continue to the west until you reach Cedar Street. Look to your left and you will see the newly rebuilt Lititz Elementary School. It's really nice. Andrew doesn't go to school here, but the playground is really fun. I like the monkey bars. Take a walk up to this fountain and have a seat on one of the benches. This fountain is really cool at night. There are lights. Count the number of brick inlays (not the number of bricks in the inlay) in the wall of the school. This number is F.
Please return to Main Street, then continue west. There are many nice shops in town. The toy store is one of my favorites. At the next corner (Broad Street) is an island in the middle of the intersection. It has a fountain and a flag pole. It is called the Memorial Plot. Use the crosswalk that goes through the island. There is a plaque that says it was presented to the borough of Lititz in the year xxxB.
	Now head north on Broad Street. After about one block, you will see Lititz Springs Park on the left. This is one of my favorite places in Lititz. There are lots of fun things to do here. In the summer there are concerts and movies in the band shell. There is a really big craft show. And the best part is the annual Independence Day celebration. Please follow the stream through the park to the spring. Near the spring is the original Lion Head carving by Julius Augustus Beck. It was supposed to be a whole lion, but the rock was so hard, he could not finish the sculpture. A few years ago the original sculpture was vandalized. I am sitting in front of the new sculpture that was created to commemorate the original. C = the month in which the new sculpture was dedicated.
