There are many ways to count and I'm sure most everyone started counting by using their fingers. Here is one way of representing numbers that a friend of mine from the Philippines showed me. He explained how he could not only count using his fingers, but he could add, subtract, multiply and divide.
To find the cache, you will have to figure out what numbers are represented by the photos.
