Located in the shadow of Bald Rock in The Town Common Conservation Park behind Pallarenda & just a five minute walk from the carpark.
To get there drive to the Rowes Bay esplanade heading for Pallarenda & take the turn off to the Town Common & the Rowes Bay golf club. Go past the golf club on the right & through the gates into the conservation park. The park is a preserved sanctuary for fauna & flora & especially for birds, particularly those that prefer a marshy wetland environment. The park has at least four purpose built wildlife viewing vantage points, one of which is a observation tower & another being a superb bird hide. Be sure & take advantage of these assets as you make your way along this well maintained unsealed road until it terminates at the Bald Rock carpark. Leave your vehicle here & take a short stroll along the walking track until your GPS beckons you to leave the track. From that point you are just a couple of minutes from the cache.
After logging your find be sure to continue back along the track for a few more minutes to find the previously spoken of bird hide which is complete with an ID chart to help you name that bird. Be warned that the smaller winged wildlife is also abundant here & it is strongly recommended that you take insect repellant along with you. This fascinating landscape also hides a couple of other nearby caches & this access point is a good launching point for a great day of Geocaching. Be advised though to ensure adequate water for your trek if you are intending to do the other caches & keep in mind also that the park gates close at 6.30pm.
