Cache is located on beautiful Magnetic Island.
To get to the Sphinx cache you need to head for the Lookout by that name. Drive past Alma Bay heading towards Horseshoe Bay and as you wind up the hill leaving Alma Bay you will come to a walking track on the left hand side of the road sign posted Arcadia Bay / Nelly Bay, park your vechicle in the parking bay approx 80mtrs past the track. It's a 40min round trek and the veiws alone are well and truly worth the effort. If you like you can trek the full 5 kilometre hike from here to Nelly Bay which takes approx 2 hours and takes in stunning veiws of Horseshoe Bay. If doing the 5klm trek there are shops close by as you exit the track in Mandalay Ave as well as a bus stop so as to catch a bus back to your vechicle, buses run approx every 30mins. Many birds and other wildlife can be seen including Koala bears if you keep an eye out. Which ever way you go enjoy the walk and the cache.
