This is one of a trio of caches along the Whinash Ridge. There is a faint/decent track between all the summits but it is very boggy in places.
There is a cairn on the top of this summit.
From here you have a good view of the Whinfell Ridge and the Borrowdale Valley. You can also see how neatly the trees were planted on Mabbin Crag.
There are fell ponies roaming free around here, we counted over 20, mostly black but also some with a few other colours.
There is a feature on the OS map just North West of the summit called 'Bits'. If you find any of these bits please return them to the owner!
