Osprey love the water and what is in it! If you look really close there is a tree a short distance away across the main road with a nest in the top. Osprey are only in the area in the spring, summer, fall. They migrate south in the fall.
Honeyman State park on the West side of Highway 101 requires a use fee, if traveling that way. East Woahink Picnic area is not a fee area but there is a gate and it is closed from 4pm to 8:30am. It is ok to park along the road after hours. Please do not block the gate! The park is a nice place for a walk any time, others may be doing just that. If you have something birdy or fishy, trade that!
