easy park and walk to cache
It seems that nearly every cemetery in this area has a cache in it. For the few left out, I have decided to try and place a cache in them. I will call them FINAL REST STOPS or FRSs. I will try to include a short history of each cemetery. Happy hunting.
On 25 July, Albert Spill, E.E. Proctor and W.R. Cummings, trustees of The Winters Lodge 184 of the Knights of Pythias, conveyed a tract of land, ten and a half acres in area to the City of Winters, for use as a cemetery. The land had been used since 1910 as a cemetery for members of the Knights of Pythias. When the City of Winters was given the land the name of the cemetery was changed to Fairview Cemetery. It is located on the south side of loop 483 about a mile west of Winters, Tx. The first burial in the cemetery was an infant son of W.W. Poe who died May 12, 1910.
