Halsey HydroPark is a shared city resource – a property that serves both Portland ’s drinking water system and provides neighbors access to greenspace at a Portland Water Bureau property.
I walk by this place on my way home from my moms house once a week and decided it needed a cache. A little research shows that it is a hydropark/neighborhood green space with planned improvements to be benches, picnic tables and doggy stations and additional landscaping which will be designed to prevent children from running into the surrounding streets. Halsey and 148th are very busy streets but the west side of the park has parking for a quick grab.
You are looking for a Small plastic jar wrapped in camo duct tape. This should not be a hard one to find, but may become more difficult if the shrub fills in some more. Contents of the container is a note book and Pencil to log your find, a mini Sewing kit and a green space guy from caching in Camas, a wolf figure and a lapel pin from caching in Astoria, a hook and a can opener from caching in Lake Oswego, and finally a new gold dollar from my pocket for first to finder.
