A quick cache and dash for those in or passing through Thatcham. The container is a 35mm film cannister.
Thatcham Police Station was the original Police House for the village, built in 1905.
Apart from a few years as the Parish Council Offices it has been a Police Station, and today, even though it is not open to the public, the local Neighbourhood Team work from there.
The Police Station is due to be sold off, so the cache will only be available as long as there are Police Officers in the Station. Please take the time to appreciate the design of the building before it is lost.
You do not have to go onto Police property to reach the cache.
Parking is available in the nearby town centre (1hr free) or Waitrose car park (pay and display).
