Pedestrian walkway to Cedros Design District.
The master plan for the Coastal Rail Trail is for a
pedestrian/bicycle-friendly path from San Diego to Oceanside,
following along the railroad tracks. Some of it is complete, most
of it is not. Some of it is wonderful, much of it is plain. This is
one of the wonderful paths.
There are a series of caches along the trail. You can drive and
make a quick park and grab at each location, but if you do, you'll
miss one of the most delightful suburban walkways in the county. I
encourage you to walk or slowly bike along the path, take some time
to look at the art which you'll find placed all along the pathway
and enjoy the thought and planning that went into this project.
I only wish the CRT in other cities could be as nice.
