Geocache Description:

A straightforward hide that should be an easy find. Park at the Vet Center.

Cache is a small, clear plastic container. Muggles will be using the trail, but it’s a quiet section, so a little stealth will do. Contains a log only. This is the site of the old Seaberling Barn, a beautiful brick structure named after Frank A. Sieberling, then President of Goodyear tire and Rubber Company. In 1915 he donated funds to build a dairy barn, cremery, and purchase milk cows to jump start the Lincoln Memorial University college of agriculture. The barn was unfortunately taken down in 2014.

While looking for the cache, be sure and check out the trees. You are in the middle of the Daniel Boone Trail and Arboretum, which identifies over 60 species of Tennessee native trees. Take time to walk the trail and enjoy a little dendrology.
