Let's get this party started MEGA-style!
There is a big MEGA event near this location later this weekend.
This small "Meet and Greet" is not designed to compete with that
other big MEGA event. Actually truth be known, the staff for that
other MEGA event will be having a super secret kickoff dinner to
finalize their devious plans for torturing contestants and
participants on the following morning. So what is a contestant or
participant of that MEGA event suppose to do while the staff of
that other MEGA event schemes away? How about throwing a party of
their own--a bash before the bash so to speak!
So here's the deal:
Starting around 6pm or so and lasting until 10 pm or
thereabouts (everyone NOT staying here should be out by 11 pm
at the latest) on Friday, April 4th, 2008, we will have a
geocaching party to help people get to know or renew their
friendship with each other. Perhaps we will have a campfire
blazing, a home-made movie or two of a previous MEGA event on a big
screen projector, a picnic table set up for swapping sig items with
other cachers, and probably some tunes (quietly) blaring away on a
sound system of some sort. Cachers will be talking about caching,
folks will be trading sig items, and contestants will be plotting
strategy. Everybody will be having a MEGA-great time! Just
PLEASE, remember we are guests here and should be respectful of
others and of the competition to be held the following day. I
certainly do not want to ask anyone to leave, but if someone makes
themself a problem, then I will do what I need to do for the safety
of the entire group.
Kat, half of WheelinB, has graciously offered to help with this
party since I am on staff of that other event this year and I may
be a little late to this party myself. Plus, I hear that the KC
folks will be holding a party near this location as well so there
will be plenty of folks around this place. All you will need to do
is find the party. That should be easy. The coordinates at the top
of the page will lead you to the entrance to the place where this
event will be held. A sign will be posted at the entrance which
will get you to the actual party.
Just remember the following!
This is a BYO party--so BRING YOUR OWN!
Bring your own lawn chair.
Bring your own drinks of any kind or flavor.
Bring your own snacks and food items.
Bring your own sig items to trade.
Bring your own SELF, friends, and others...
I guess that's it.
The only other thing to say is: LET'S GET THIS PARTY
STARTED!!! See you there!
