Geocache Description:

This is a Meet and Greet for our new friend Pepper44

Well it's that time of year again and I say it's time for a little get together out here in the Osceola Forest while the skeeters are not moving. Our new friend Pepper44 will be in the area and allthough he has met some cachers he has not met the best as of yet and I hope to show him just what NEFGA has to offer. This event will be held at Ocean Pond Camp grounds on the 23rd of Febuary from 8am to around noon when we will be grilling some kind of animal flesh to feed the numbers and any side dishes or sides of any kind will be welcome. There will be a discussion on the forest area and how it is relating to us the Geocachers and a talk on some CITO that needs to be done at any and all cache sites and trails. A review of the burned areas from last year and what we can do to help recover what belongs to all of us. There will be a trading table for coins and bugs, so bring all that you want to move along and take somewhere else.

All new cachers as well as the veterans are welcome to attend as we would like to meet you and welcome you to our world.

Afterwards we may just go on a little drive around the forest and see what the awsome fire did to this area last year and how it has overcome what happened and maybe find a cache or two. We will try to make arrangements so that everyone has a ride if they are in need of one. I am planning on keeping this ride to the graded roads so 4X4s will not be needed but it is allways nice to have a few around.

Come on out for a day of fun for everybody. If the forest is not your kind of caching we have nearby Macclenny that has many hides and Lake City is not that far with it's cool hides. So there will be something for everybody to learn and enjoy and meet some of the finist cachers North Florida and surrounding areas have to offer.
