No urban area can ever have enough regular size caches, so here's one more.
Apparently this road used to go all the way through, but somewhere along the way somebody decided to mess up my commute (long before I knew anything about it) and close this section off. Maybe one of the locals can fill in the real story here, but in the mean time it makes for a nice little trail.
4/22/08 - Valentine closure update: A source tells me that this section of Valentine was closed in the early 80's, after a realignment of the intersection of Main and Telephone, and the widening of the freeway onramp. Heading eastbound on Main it used to run straight under the freeway and become Telephone. Afterwards, when there was more direct access to Valentine from Main Street there was concern that Valentine, running straight through to Victoria, would become a speed zone, so they closed it to prevent the high speed traffic.
