When the Wellington Ski Club Hut was built in the 1940's, the site was carefully chosen because of the excellent view. Now there is only a platform remaining. The currawongs have now taken over, and were singing loudly when we placed this cache.
There is a small track leading to the cache but you might miss it. However it's not difficult to go across country, and not far. The cache itself is not hidden in any part of the old ruin, so please don't move any loose stones there.
Please be careful with anything you do on the top of the mountain as the weather is treacherous and changeable - be properly equipped even for a short walk.
