A roadside cache alongside the N4 about 25 kms west of Nelspruit. This is a perfect opportunity to stretch your legs, stock up on some sub-tropical fruits and preserves (which the Lowveld is famous for), or take a break and have something to eat.
The cache location is easy to reach, and is available 7 days a week during daylight hours.
Please be careful of hippos at/near the cache location. Despite it being a well-kept garden, hippos frequently visit here. Do not attempt this cache in the dark. If you see hippos in the area, then abort the hunt - they are extremely dangerous.
The cache is a camoflaged PET preform container, and is hidden with permission of the landowner.
This cache was placed in honour of reviewer Erik88L-R, who did so much for the development of geocaching in South Africa in the early days.
We unashamedly manipulated the timing of publication of this listing to coincide with Erik and Carol's visit to the Lowveld, and give them the best possible opportunity for a South African FTF - which they got.
