A cache on a little koppie.
On the trail to Chapmans Peak is a nice little koppie. I noticed it on the way up the mountain and couldn't resist hiding a cache at it. It seemed like it was just wanting a cache.
The views from here point towards Hout Bay Harbour, with the Sentinal straight ahead. To get to the cache you need to take the Chapmans Peak trail starting at the car park. You can park further up the road if you want to avoid the toll (a 300m walk along the road).
The cache box has a little bit of history behind it. If you are the Huskies, than no need to read further as you are part of the history! This cache box is the first geocache I ever hide, when I lived in America. The cache needed maintenance on it and so I asked the Huskies if they wouldn't mind replacing the box for me while they were on holiday. They took my new box with them to America and brought me back my old box. It has been waiting for a nice little koppie to rejoin the fun of caching. I have included the original log book from America in this cache so others can read of the cachers finding Cook Stream (GCMA0Y) there. Please sign the book in the new log book for this cache.
Cache has lots of marbles in it as well, so take one home with you! Enjoy.
