Un Mur d'Enceinte Traditional Cache
aragandre: Dear friends geocacheurs,
The wall has too many damages. The aim of the cache was to promote this interesting haeritage of the history and not to participate to the damages, that is why I have no choice but tu archive this cache.
Thanks to all the geocacheurs that enjoyed it and the discovery of this wall !

La cache est un petit tube blanc. The cache is a small white tube.

Vous vous trouvez face à un mur qui est un vestige de la troisième enceinte de la ville de Bordeaux élevée en 1302 et achevée en 1327.
La cache est toute proche...
Profitez-en pour vous retourner et admirer au n°16 de la rue, un pavillon de l'ancien hôpital de la Manufacture construit par l'architecte en chef de Richelieu à partir de 1639.
Pourquoi ne pas jeter un coup d'oeil au joli square derrière le mur, continuer un peu plus loin avec l'église Sainte-Croix et terminer la promenade par la place Saint Michel avec ses cafés, ses brocantes et sa basilique classée au patrimoine mondiale par l'UNESCO.

Here you can see a part of the third city wall, built in the begening of the 14th century.
The cache is very close...
Do not hesitate to have a look behind you, at the n°16 you can see a part of the former hospital known as la Manufacture, designed by Richelieu's chief architect in the 17th century.
Why don't you seize the opportunity to have a look behind the wall to the nice square, then to go a bit further beyond to see the church Sainte Croix, and to finish your walk with the place Saint Michel and its cafés, flea markets and its basilica classified by the UNESCO as world heritage.
