This geocache will take you on a short tour of some historical points of interest and local treasures in Oconee County. Please begin at the posted coordinates, collecting the requested information at each location. This information will be used to find the second and third locations, as well as where the cache is located.
Each capital letter you are asked for represents a single digit from 0-9.
When you arrive at the first location, you should see a large granite monument listing locals who've made the ultimate sacrifice. There is a date located at the bottom of the middle section of this monument. Please record the numbers you see in the following form: Month AB, CDEF.
A = _____ B =_____ C =_____ D = _____ E = _____ F = _____
Next, take a look at the Medal engraved in the middle section of this monument. Please count all the stars; there are two areas with multiple stars. Record the 2 digit number of stars as GH.
G = _____ H = _____
Count the number of different wars listed and set that equal to J.
J = _____
Now is it is time to compute the coordinates to the second location. Substitute the corresponding number for each letter in the coordinates. They are in the form:
N34° 45.EJA
W083° 04.HCH

The structure at the second location once carried some incorrigible men. Please feel free to walk all the way around, paying special attention to the large plaque at the coordinates and the wheels. According to the plaque, a range of men once called this place home. Please subtract the lower number from the higher number and set this difference to K.
K = _____
Note the year given on this plaque and set that equal to LMNP.
L = _____ M = _____ N = _____ P = _____
Count the total number of spokes on the two wheels closest to the parking lot and set that equal to RS.
R = _____ S = _____
The next step requires a little math. Please divide the 2 digit number represented by RS by the number represented by K and set that equal to T.
RS = T = _____
K
The coordinates below will take you to your third and final location. As before, please substitute the number corresponding for each letter in the coordinates. They are in the form:
N34° 45.PTK
W083° 04.SRT

Enter the building in front of you. Please sign the guestbook and proceed into the main gallery, approximately 40ft from the third location. In order to find the cache, you will need to visit one exhibit.
It is time to locate the cache container. You are looking for the exhibit where a purveyor of merchandise would work. Head to where you would end your direct interaction with this individual. You may step a couple of steps into this exhibit, to the left of a long counter. The cache is not covered up, but it is hiding in shadows. Good Luck with your hunt and please enjoy yourself!
