Geocache Description:

The seed coordinates listed above are the parking coordinates behind Brooklyn District Elementary School. The cache is hidden somewhere on the Brooklyn Community Trail system. In order to find the cache, you will need to become familiar with various animal tracks. You can find the information you need at the following animal tracks web site: (visit link) .

For each of the given diagrams, determine the animal that made the track. Then count the letters in the name to give you the numerical value. If the there is more than one word in the name of the animal, use the last word in the name. For example, the numerical value for a striped skunk would be 5 (the number of letters in the last word “skunk”).

The coordinates for the cache are N 45° 00.ABC W 064° 00.DEF, where

A = A
B = B
C = F-B
D = G-A
E = H-J
F = F

You can check your answer on Geochecker.com (visit link) .

Please respect school hours and only come to this area outside those times (late afternoons, evenings before dark, weekends, holidays, and summer vacation).

The cache container is a camoued lock and lock cannister containing a log book, pencil, stash note, animal tracks / footprints themed swag and a FTF prize.
