I had promised myself quite sometime ago I wouldn't do a tree based cache involving any scientific names in Latin. So much for promises...
Here's a little puzzle to solve that may teach you some very interesting information about my favorite natural resource without making me look too smart.
This cache will involve some research on the largest genus of the family Pinaceae. This genus contains over 100 species widely scattered throughout the Northern hemisphere and of which about 40 species are native to the United States.
In order to properly distinguish between the various species, one must know what key identifying features to look for.
