Geocache Description:

Easy Cache but Stealth is required. I wrote this story many years ago and it is part of my Seti@home profile.

Somewhere in deep space, about 50 light years from Earth there is a massive, ancient, battered space ship. On the top of the ship is a huge clear viewing dome over 500 meters across and inside the dome is a very large radio receiving dish. Behind the dish is this huge slimy figure with three arms and three legs which are as large as tree trunks. The creature has one big yellow eye a full 12 inches across just above it's gigantic fanged mouth. Setting behind the dish, the creature is slowly turning knobs and wheels making the dish scan back and forth slowly across the star filled sky. After many hours of scanning the skies the creature faintly hears in his headphones "Lucy I'm Home!" He scans back and pinpoints the location of the transmission, locking it in on his instruments. The creature slowly slides out of his chair and walks up a long corridor, his knuckles dragging on the floor, to a huge room where hundreds of his shipmates are playing backgammon. He reaches up with one arm and pulls a small bell which he then rings three times. The room falls silent and all the other creatures turns to look at him. The creature slowly raises his long sharp fingers pointing in the direction of Earth and says in a grunting, gurgly voice, "Lunch."

Sweet Dreams!
