Serra Devassa
This pedestrian path is very
interesting and varied. In a journey of 4.4 Km, easy level, it is
possible to see several ponds:
Lagoa do Canário, Caldron small north, south Caldron small, pond
north of mares, pond south of mares, rasa pond, the pond
Empadadas south, the pond empadadas north and stick pond of
pique.
During the visit, with spectacular
panoramas, it is possible to see several species of birds, many
species of plants,
Some of them endemic and many points of geological interest.
These routes were once used for access to ponds (source water), to
drink from the mares.
(Hence onome of some) and canalisar water to the fields and city of
Ponta Delgada,
The two hours of average length of this walk fast and we are
always willing to go back.
