Geocache Description:

Knockaderry Reservoir, County Waterford.

Knockaderry Reservoir is situated 12km southwest of Waterford City.

It is a natural lake but has supplied water to Waterford City since 1887. The main lake covers 70 acres with areas of marsh and coniferous woodland along the margins. It is quite shallow (max depth 8 metres).

It supports a range of birdlife with regular visits of Whooper Swan and species of diving ducks.

The cache is a small round camouflaged tupperware box and is reachable from the side of the road. BYOP. Gloves needed during summer months.
