Geocache Description:


OLD ADGATE ROAD


The Ionia State Recreation Area was once privately owned farmland, pasture, forest. Adgate road was one of 3 roads that once ran through this area. Today, Adgate road still exists as a wide hard-pack gravel trail. It is an easy walk that will take you through the lowland of Ionia State park. We have seen deer, turkey, rabbits, mink, muskrat and fox out here, so keep your eyes open. This is a beautiful walk any time of the year.

I have included a waypoint for parking.

The cache is in a .30 cal ammo box.

I have two other caches hidden within .3 miles of this one. This is the easiest route to all three...

Please Note:
  • A state park vehicle sticker is required in the state park.
  • This area is open to hunting September 14th - April 30th, Something ORANGE would be smart.
