I moved away from this area in 1969. While back in town (& now that there is such a thing as caching) I thought this would be a beautiful place to put a cache. (This cache has been moved slightly to increase safety) I was out here during the snow storm Jan 31st & confirmed my idea of a great place for a cache. This cache has been re hidden by a very special new friend & it will allow folks to come to an area where they can park, roam the area & see the beautiful wildlife.
While out here today I saw an endless number of birds, deer, a fox & 3 coyotes. It was wonderful. I had to laugh at the ducks that were sitting on the ice & snow covered water but they seemed to be pretty happy. There was a small area that was not frozen that they were able to swim around in & would take turns in this area - hence the title.
Parking is not to far away & there are 2 trail head coords you will need. You will be looking for a 'preform tube that has bee camoed'. Bring a writing tool. GPS MAY bounce just a little but give it a minute to settle. This cache will require some bushwhacking & may be a bit wet the closer to the water you get. Once you arrive to GZ no need to look on the ground as it is in the tree branches & blends well with the branches & leaves. Good luck & don't forget to ENJOY!
Keep in mind there there are ticks & snakes around so watch your step & where you reach & be sure to wear your deadly bug spray & check your body after leaving the area for bugs.
Since this is a new location, for those who have already logged this find please feel free to hunt again & get another smiley face. Oh & don't thank me, thanks goes to KroBro for making this an even better cache. Enjoy! :>)
