I moved away from here in 1969 but my dad still lives just down the street. While I was here visiting this week I saw this memorial & felt it needed a cache.
This is a beautiful memorial across from the VFW Post 450. You will NOT need to disturb any of the plaques or the statue. It won't require combing through the plantlife or bushes either. But it will require a little bit of stealth since you will be in view from across the street.
You can pull up & park right here on either side of this quiet street.
Please take a few minutes to reflect on this place. If you also look across the street you will see something that is very sobering. It is a replica mini cemetery with crosses for those lost.
