Geocache Description:

You're looking for a nano cache hidden near one of the several brightly painted horses around Shawnee. THE HIDE IS NOT ON THE HORSE ITSELF. I have set the difficulty rating to 3 due to the high visibility location of the caches. There is no need to disturb any plants or landscaping that may be around the horses.

The Horse in the City program began as a Oklahoma Centennial art project but is being expanded as a city-wide public art presentation and beautification project. City leaders hope this program will build civic pride, enliven cultural activity, and increase tourism in Shawnee. The horses are sponsored by local companies, organizations, and individuals and are designed and painted by local artists and craftspeople.

Recently, the areas around several of the horses have been upgraded. Instead of just a horse stationed on a pair of concrete slabs, signs detailing the names and creators of each horse and landscaping have been added. Please respect the landscaping, plants, and even the horse itself when caching. You are encourage to take a picture standing next to the horse, but please do not attempt to climb onto the horse. The first horse displayed was inadvertently damaged by a pair of college students posing for pics straddling on its back.

For this cache you will be visiting "Elemental", designed by Amanda Spitz, sponsored by Prudential Carolyn Harris Realty, and painted by Kathie, Bethany & Delaney Spitz.
