Geocache Description:

Max&Me
Have been coming to this part of the Oregon coast for over 30 years. It has taken geocaching to get me off 101. My buddy 1Bohica is a geocacher who heard of the hobby from Fakari Mama. It was Max, my dog’s first trip to the coastal range; and since he was urinating to place his first cache on the Cummins Creek Trail, Fakari Mama, 1Bohica and Doug & Max placed it on 7/27/06. Located south of the Cape Perpetua trail system. Parking is located at the trailhead, N 44. 15.994, W 124 06.071. Cache is located .26 miles as the gull flies from the trailhead on a secondary trail, which in the wet months may flood. Plenty of parking available. Wander through the forest through the ferns and enjoy the hike. Due to heavy tree canopy, coordinates may be somewhat challenging. Rest near the creek and look north approximately 20 feet. Open container only, do not remove. Bring your own writing tool. The cache is placed off the ground to avoid high water. Terrain rating could be higher during the winter due to high water and slippery trail. First to Find Certificate will be sent.
