This cache is located in the backyard of an old stone house once
home to what people belive to be a witch. The Cache is located at N
41° 33.438' / W 071° 14.637'.
Legend has it that in the early 1800's a women lived in small stone
house located at, what is now GLEN FARM in, Portsmouth, RI. This
women kept to herself and was not seen much in the town. During a
years period many children started to appear missing from the town
of Portsmouth. It was believed the old women was kidnapping these
children. The women was captured and without a trial she was burned
while tied to a steak. Later it was found that she was innocent.
Her spirit is said to hunt Glen Farm.
Your journey will begin at GLEN PARK
(located off Glen Rd). Once your in Glen Park, park your car and
find your way to the trail located at N 41° 33.464' / W 071°
14.583' (about a couple hundred yards south of the old shed in the
field past the baseball diamond).
