Geocache Description:

This is the LAST in the series of the Where's Phil? caches - or is it?

A consortium of cachers, who he has picked on with his quick wit and cache pages, have decided to put out a series of caches in the honor of IlliniPhil, and this is #16 of that series. And, not the last.

This cache has been hidden to honor IlliniPhil achievement in finding . . .

(Drum roll please.)


1,000 caches.

Back when we all got hooked on geocaching we all wondered how the heck can anyone find 1,000 caches? We all looked at other cachers’ numbers and wonder, how long will it take us? Then before you know it, we find that magic cache, number 1,000. Wow! How did we do it?

The journey for Phil (IlliniPhil) on his road to 1K started on 11 April 2003 when he found his 1st cache “Re-Gorge-itated" (GCE5F8). Then on 29 December 2007, with some divine intervention, he found number 1,000! "Satellite" (GCVH9C).


This cache, "IlliniPhil 1K Class 12 (aka Full-PHIL-ed at last)", is located in the Silver Springs Cemetery in Stow, OH. And, we're calling it a Paul Bunyon sized micro.


As in all cemeteries, please be careful, respectful, and hunt the cache only during daylight hours.
