ROBOTT - Rusty Old Bridge Over The Tugela
I was on my way back home from work in Bergville when I noticed a sign along the road that mentioned Mt Royal. A few kilometers up the road was another one. So I thought on the next trip I will see where this road goes. I forgot about it and went pass the turn off. So a quick reverse and into this road. This is the same turn-off you would take to go to Spioenkop Lodge, but just follow the road straight ahead. I was pleasantly surprised. On the way I found a Eland Doe in the middle of the road. A beauty she was too. She went off slowly into the bushes and didn't mind my presence too much. It was only when a Taxi, with radio blasting away, came along, that she took off. Further on down the road I came to an old steel girder bridge crossing the Tugela. I knew that this was going to have to have a cache on it. So I placed a micro on it. I would have liked to place a larger cache here but there is a school just down the road so I think it might not last too long.
Please take note I have found two snakes on different occasions at the original hiding spot and have moved the cache slightly so as not to be too close to the trees. But as always please use caution when searching. You never know where these things may be hiding.
