WYCHBOLD (St Mary) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

harriers: Richt2000 reported this as missing, and noted that all he found was a poppy. We checked it out and because we found a poppy in the location the cache should have been we allowed Richt2000 to log this as a find before we archived it. We have moved South and cannot maintain this. We kept it going because it was a popular stop off the M5 for a cache and dash but as it has gone missing it seems appropriate to archive it.
Thank you to all those cachers who stopped by to find the cache and to admire the lovely church which gave us one of the happiest days of our lives when our daughter got married here. If someone wants to hide one here it will be very popular.

Geocache Description:

One of a series of ‘WYCHBOLD’ caches. This one is a 35mm film container hidden by the church – no need to enter the grounds at all.

The church was built in 1888/89 at the expense of local "salt king" John Corbett. Nearby, Droitwich is a spa town and salt was mined there many years ago. The church is a grade2 listed building.

A 3-mile round walk will take you to 3 of the other caches in this series, (Masterful is in the opposite direction). Other caches in this series are :
WYCHBOLD (Single Track)
WYCHBOLD (No 84)
WYCHBOLD (No 129) and
WYCHBOLD (Masterful)

Please bring something to sign the log.

REMEMBER - NO NEED TO GO INTO THE GROUNDS AT ALL.

Well Done to The Garlands - First to Find
