Geocache Description:


One of the most enjoyabe discoveries that I have made from geocaching is the existence of the Pennsylvania State Game Lands. These plots of land are set aside by the state as public lands for hunting, fishing, trapping, and other recreational uses. These tracts of lands have a minimal amount of trails, leaving much of the land in its original rugged state and much of the vegitation left to the forces of nature (read briars galore!).

All these factors result in creating excellent arenas for geocaching. Some of my favorite State Game Land Caches over the past year include:

This cache will take you to one of the less cached State Game Lands in the eastern side of Berks County. But first you must solve the following puzzle.

1). Make a list of the numbers of all state game lands that lie, at least in part, in Berks County.
2). Seperate the list into a list of even numbers and a list of odd numbers.
3). Add up each list to get a final even total and a final odd total.
4). Divide the odd number by 1000 and add it to the posted north coordinate minutes.
5). Divide the even number by 1000 and add it to the posted west coordinate minutes.
Enjoy the State Game Lands. They are a unique resource provided for our enjoyment and amazement. The cache is an ammo box and contains information needed to complete The Four Corners of Berks County.
