Geocache Description:


A night cache!!

This one was tested out with a cheap $2 flashlight and the cheap batteries it came with. More than likely, any flashlight you have will work (just make sure the batteries don't die when you are 1/2 through this though. It will be close to pitch black, and hard to find your way back).

The above coordinates are for the parking on this one. Please pull off to the side, as there are houses up the hill from this little road.

To start: You will find a small concrete debris area, and a wooden post with orange and yellow marking tape tied to it. Stand behind this post and shine you flashlight a little left of a little shed that is about 75-100' away.

*** PLEASE DO NOT shine your light up at the house on the hill with the lights on in the window. ***

- Standing from there, you should see 2 small "blue" reflectors on a tree. Walk to them.

*** PLEASE BE CAREFUL in this field. You might accidentally step on some strands of blackberry/sticker bushes here and there. ***

- Once you are at that tree, stand facing it about 10' away from it (you should be standing in front of a small sticker bush. Shine your flashlight to the left. You should see a small orange reflector from there. Walk to it.

- Once you are standing in front of that tree with the orange reflector, squat down and shine your light forward. You will see a small red reflector from there. Please watch your head (low branches) as you walk to it.

- As you are approaching the small red reflector, keep shining your light forward, and you will see a small white reflector. Walk to it.

- As you are approaching the small white reflector, shine your light forward, and you will see a red reflector ahead. Walk to it.

- Stand with your feet behind the branch laying on the ground in front of the tree with that red reflector on it.

- From here, I will not tell you where to shine your light next. You have to scan the area and look for the next reflectors. You are looking for a small white and small blue one (one the same tree). Walk to them. Be careful. Terrain could be a little slippery if it gets too wet.

- As you are facing that reflector, look left. Cache is hidden about 15' feet away.

Ultimately, have fun with this, and just be careful with all the hazards of the terrain.

Please try not to do this cache in the day time. It takes the fun out of it, and the reflectors would be hard to see anyways.

Cache has a bunch of small stuff in it (glowstick, Mariner's wallet, Chip clip, 2 plastic dinosaurs, and a few other things).
