This park has tennis courts, basket ball courts, (even short hoops
for the kiddies) a playground, a creek and a nice long walk along
an easy paved path. There are a few bridges over flowing water and
when we were here in January the pond was mostly frozen over. There
are plenty of places to spread a blanket out and just hang out.
Please stay on the trail with the exception of being in the grass
at waypoint 2 and a little offroad at the final.
First you will want to park along 92nd somewhere between Allen and
Scholls Ferry. Those coordinates are below. Please try to avoid
parking at the Chinese restaurant during heavy business hours. Walk
to the coordinates at the top of this page and you will find a sign
which contains information we are all familiar with. The numbers on
the sign represent XX,XXX. (This sign will change periodically and
the math will be updated) To find the next location you need to
take XX,XXX - 59,217 = YY.YYY and XX,XXX - 41,413 = ZZ.ZZZ Waypoint
2 is at N 45 YY.YYY W 122 ZZ.ZZZ.
There you will find a Bison container with coordinates for the 3rd
Waypoint. The coordinates are in the container which is hiding low
and attached to the tree, which as of 4/5/09 is now a stump.
At the 3rd waypoint, be extra stealthy, sit front and center &
take a rest. Then find the magnetic nano with the waypoints for the
final. NOTE: please be sure to roll the note up and put it in the
cap before screwing it on the container!
All waypoints and the final are in this park. If you are looking
for a waypoint that is not along this trail you are looking in the
wrong place. The final is an ammo can and should be very easy to
find. The path is very popular so do be discreet. Also, please try
to watch your step at the final and try not to trample the ferns
nearby. Round trip is about 1.5 miles. There is a First-To-Find
gift and also a First-Pup-To-Find gift so bring your four legged
friends along if you wish...just PLEASE clean up after them. Thanks
