A quick and easy cache and grab. Container is a micro log, bring
your own pen or pencil. Watch out for cactus, yucca, and
rattlesnakes depending on the time of year. Enjoy my 1st cache that
I have placed. The cache is not on private property. This is also a
good place to practice CITO (cashe in trash out), bring a
bag!
This site is recognition of a C-47 crash that occurred during WW
II. If you look to the S.E. about 1/2 mile you will see a stone
monument with a flag pole located within the low hill. Sometimes it
has a flag flying depending on the holiday. (ie , Veterns day,
Memorial Day) It was built by the owner of this ranch as a memorial
to the young men that lost their lives serving their country during
this time of war. This is the main site of the actual crash. Some
of the planes parts were found recently and were place in a time
capsule within the marker. Welcome to Sweetwater and lookout for
the Rattlesnakes!
