Geocache Description:

This is a Lock N Lock container big enough for some small trading items. The cache cannot be reached from the highway Daylight hours only. Dogs on leash OK, you can use mountain bikes, but the last part of the adventure would most likely need to be walked. Bug repellant is highly recommended during bug season. This cache was placed with permission.

Congrats goes out to RubyO who braved the cold and snow to be the FTF!

This is in Poland Woods; so use the parking lot at the end of College Street at coordinates. N 41 00.987 W 08 37.154 There are also entrances off Indian trail, and Poland Manor. Do not enter the park through Paulin Drive that is all private property. There is room for one car to park at the end of Rosehedge Dr. as this also makes for a very nice walk.

Again, you cannot get to the cache from the freeway. This cache is about as far west as you can go in Poland Woods and about fifty feet off the path.

I picked this area, because there use to be beaver dams here.

I call this Poland Woods Adventure, because of everything you may see on your way. There is an abundant deer population; wild turkey, raccoons, and a whole list of smaller animals may also be encountered. This is also a great area to do some bird watching.

You can pick up a free map of Poland Woods at the entrance. This way you can use a different path coming back from the path than you used coming in. Just a note, some of the secondary paths can get a little overgrown, and muddy.

There are muggles in the woods, but with a little bit of stealth they should not be a problem. The terrain rating is mostly for the last hundred yards or so (depending on the path you decide there could be a lot more mud) you will end up on a narrow dirt path with a substantial drop off on the one side. There are also roots that you will need to watch out for.

You may note on the log it says In Memory of Jack. He was an ex Marine, and worked at YSU with me. He was one of the best people I have ever had the privilege to bearound. Late November of 2007 he lost his battle with cancer. He never stopped worrying about his family and friends, and I am sure he is watching over them now.  So do me a favor, and give him a salute when you put the cache back.

I hope you enjoy this (my first) cache and I hope you enjoy your time in the park. There are some goodies for the FTF. A four pack of AA batteries. A US Navy key lanyard Please put this cache back as close as you can to the way you found it.

Thanks From Team Nuarbnesie
