As in history a similar metaphor is used to describe a disaster about to happen. Julius Caesar did not heed the soothsayers warning to "beware of the Ides of March" so instead of staying home he went out and met his doom... The IDES of March actually refers to the 1st day of the Roman New Year as well as the 1st day of spring in the Roman calendar. It falls on the 15th and the only other Ides that fall on the 15th happen in the months of May, July and October. Please rehide well or beware of the consequence...
