Geocache Description:

“You may not think you’re going to make it. You may want to quit. But if you keep your eye on the ball, you can accomplish anything.”
-Hank Aaron

This cache was placed by Psyprof and adopted by HistoryJoe23 in August 2021.

Background (Psyprof): Thorn Grove Community Center and ball park is situated just east of Carter School Road and just north of Thorngrove Pike in the Thorngrove community of east Knox County. It can be accessed from either road. Oddly, this well used site is not on the inventory of Knox County parks. The community center appears to be well used. When we placed the cache here, people were arriving with food and drink for a social function, and a vintage car was parked in front of the building.

Background (HistoryJoe23): I attended church at Thorn Grove Christian Church for awhile, so I know some people in the area and was excited to have the chance to adopt this cache. Unfortunately, the community center is no longer standing and the area has become overgrown. All that remains is the skeleton of a slide and an old baseball field.
