This cache is placed on Bridgford Park embankment, on the former Midland Railway Mainline from Nottingham to London. The third stage of "Mainline to London". The cache contains clues for the location of the final cache
The Nottingham & Melton Railway was opened in 1879 to provide a more direct link from Nottingham to London. It was closed in 1968.
This surviving section of embankment is used by dog walkers and can be accessed by steps from the open field.
