Geocache Description:

The Rockport Pirates have long been a part of this pioneer Texas community. The county’s first one room schoolhouse was erected in Fulton, Texas in 1884. Rockport High School’s first graduating class commenced in 1907 with 4 students and in 1949, Rockport consolidated with Aransas County Independent School District. This GeoDuck is not located on school property (it is in view of the High School) but wanted to share the rich history of the Pirate legacy. GO Pirates!! Bring a pen/pencil as there is room for a log and some very small trinkets only. Roll the log tightly--space is limited.
